Hey Dstreet friends, it's that time again for a new band of the month and this month we're going with true independent music. That is why we had to put the spotlight this month on the band Colieda!

While most local bands in the area spend their time playing cover songs, Colieda is busy manifesting a sound of their own. Despite the current cover band trend, the boys of Colieda have chosen a genre of their own to call home. Although not easily classified, "creative" is the best word to explain it all. Colieda integrates haunting viola pieces with ambient guitar to create a whirlwind of instrumental excitement. Colieda has all the staples of a good ambient indie band.

With Matt Hucul on drums, Patrick Dunn on viola, Chase Mateusiak on bass, and Andrew Stefano on guitar, Colieda is a collection of perfomers that are true to themselves, their fans and their music. That's why this month Dstreet salutes Colieda as our band of the month.
