Three for the Road is a trio made up of Kelly Beck (guitar, mandolin and vocals), Kim Maul (guitar, harmonica and vocals) and Dave Maul (Bass). I was able to catch them at both Gimmicks and the dStreet Benefit and really enjoyed their style of music. Kelly and Kim's harmonies stand out, both play their instrument very well and Dave is solid keeping both beat and melody for the group on the standup bass. They cover a wide variety of musical styles in their shows, ranging from bluegrass to some classic rock and roll songs. They offer a pleasant alternative for those who like a more acoustic sound over an electric sound.
Three for the Road play out quite often, so you shouldn't have a problem trying to see them. I recommend you take the time to check them out.
