Members:
Todd
Ben
Ram
Music Type:
Rock and Roll from the 70's to today
May is here and it is time for a new band of the month. This time I was accompanied by Deb Cochran, her boyfriend Marc and Dave Dauer as we went to Bushy's in Midland to see Trippy Ramble. All four of us agreed on the choice this month.
"For not having a frontman, this band has presence" was how Dave defined the band. All three members of the band are talented vocalists who harmonize well together. Their song selections cut across genres but they worked them together so that the music flowed. One minute they would be playing a Seether song ("Back to the Remedy"), then would play "Stand" by REM, pull off a great version of "The Wind Cries Mary" and then play "My Girl". They also played my favorite Deep Purple tune "Perfect Strangers" and pulled it off with a three piece band.
Congrats to Ram (guitar), Todd (bass) and Ben (drums) for putting on a great show and being fine musicians. You have 4 nods instead of just one for May's Band of the Month. Get out there and see these guys when you get a chance. They are definately worth it!
